Biography
Robert L. Weisman, D.O., is a professor of psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center and director of its Charles E. Steinberg Memorial Fellowship in Psychiatry and Law. His career has centered on forensic and community psychiatry, including leadership of Strong Ties' ACT/FACT services for justice-involved patients, and he has contributed to research on the Rochester Forensic Assertive Community Treatment model aimed at reducing criminal recidivism among adults with serious mental illness. He also developed URMC's SAVE training curriculum on violence prevention and workplace safety.
