Biography
John T. Gorczyca, MD is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon at UR Medicine and a professor of orthopaedics at the University of Rochester. He earned his medical degree from Boston University, completed orthopaedic training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, and went on to a trauma fellowship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. At Rochester, he has served as chief of orthopaedic trauma and director of the orthopaedic residency program, with clinical work focused on difficult fractures, fracture nonunions and malunions, limb deformity correction, and complex bone reconstruction; he is also board certified in orthopaedic surgery.
