Christopher Mallavarapu, MD, is an interventional cardiologist and medical director for the cardiology program serving Olean General Hospital in partnership with Kaleida Health's Gates Vascular Institute. The health system says he earned his medical degree at SUNY Downstate, completed internal medicine residency at SUNY Stony Brook, and went on to fellowship training in clinical cardiology, electrophysiology, and interventional cardiology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System; it also notes that he has performed more than 15,000 cardiac catheterization procedures.
