Biography
David A. Bushinsky, MD, is a University of Rochester nephrologist and professor emeritus of medicine, with a joint faculty appointment in pharmacology and physiology. He previously led the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Nephrology Division for 29 years and has published extensively on divalent ion metabolism, kidney stones, metabolic acid effects on bone, and related kidney-mineral disorders. Dr. Bushinsky earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine and completed internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowships at Tufts New England Medical Center Hospital.
