Biography
Robert D. Sax, M.D., Ph.D., is a retired ophthalmologist and retinal specialist who served as a partner and director of retina services at Ophthalmic Consultants of the Capital Region beginning in 1989. His background includes a Ph.D. in pharmacology from the University of Virginia, an M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and fellowship training in vitreo-retinal diseases at Mount Sinai and Beth Israel Hospital in New York City; he is also board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
