Biography
David J. Altman, MD, PhD, is a dermatologist whose background combines clinical practice and research. He earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard and graduated magna cum laude from SUNY/Buffalo School of Medicine, where he also completed a PhD in immunology; his early career included research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and a dermatology role at the National Cancer Institute, where he founded an HIV-Dermatology/Psoriasis Clinic. He has also contributed to the dermatology literature, including peer-reviewed work on psoriasis diagnosis.
