He earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University, completed internal medicine residency at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and trained in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at the University at Buffalo; his background also includes co-authorship of a peer-reviewed lung cancer immunotherapy study in Clinical Lung Cancer.
