Robert W. Weisenthal, MD, is an ophthalmologist in Central New York with a focus on cornea and external disease. He is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed fellowship training in cornea and external disease at the University of Iowa after residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s Scheie Eye Institute. His background also includes leadership roles in ophthalmology at the VA Hospital and Crouse Hospital, service with the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s BCSC committee, and long-running volunteer eye surgery work in Honduras through CNY Eye Care’s physician profile.
