Jeffrey H. Stern, MD, PhD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist at Capital Region Retina in Albany. He trained in ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center and completed a retina and vitreous fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center after research appointments at Rockefeller University, University College London, and the Marine Biological Laboratory. Dr. Stern also co-founded the Neural Stem Cell Institute, where his research has focused on retinal pigment epithelial stem cells and potential therapies for dry age-related macular degeneration.
