William Bonnez, MD, is a Professor Emeritus of Medicine in Infectious Diseases at the University of Rochester Medical Center and is board certified in infectious disease and internal medicine. A University of Bordeaux medical graduate who completed infectious disease fellowship training at Rochester, he is best known for HPV vaccine research: with Richard Reichman, MD, and Robert Rose, PhD, he helped develop the virus-like particle technology that became foundational to Gardasil and Cervarix.
