Joseph Talarico, MD, FACS is a general surgeon affiliated with UR Medicine and Thompson Health in the Finger Lakes. His training includes medical school at the University of Toledo, general surgery residency at the University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospitals, and a fellowship at Cleveland Clinic; he also serves as a voluntary clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University of Rochester. A distinguishing focus of his career has been minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, including peer-reviewed research from his Cleveland Clinic period on postoperative outcomes after gastric bypass.
