Shane Kuhlman, MS

Shane Kuhlman, PhD, is a clinical and counseling psychologist whose work has focused on suicide prevention, substance use, and behavioral health treatment models. He is Chief Psychology Officer for Centerstone’s Institute and previously completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center of Excellence for Suicide Prevention at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center, with clinical experience that included substance use treatment in an inpatient medicine-in-psychiatry unit at the University of Rochester Medical Center. His published research has examined suicide-prevention gatekeeper training and factors that influence help-seeking and intervention.
