Biography
Yu Fujiwara, MD, is a hematology and medical oncology fellow at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo. He earned his medical degree from Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo and completed internal medicine residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Beth Israel. His research focuses on cancer immunotherapy, including biomarkers, resistance mechanisms and safety; he was lead author on a Lancet Oncology systematic review analyzing treatment-related adverse events in perioperative immune checkpoint blockade.
