Mt. Hope Family Center

MT. HOPE FAMILY CENTER, commonly presented as Mt. Hope Family Center, is a Rochester, New York, center affiliated with the University of Rochester’s Department of Psychology. It combines clinical services, research, mentoring, and training for children and families affected by stressful or traumatic experiences, including violence, abuse, neglect, caregiving disruption, and systemic inequities. The center says it began in 1979 as a therapeutic preschool program and now provides evidence-based intervention and prevention services to thousands of families annually. University reporting also describes it as a national resource in child maltreatment research and training through its TRANSFORM Center.
