Saikrishna Satya Yendamuri, MD

Dr. Saikrishna “Sai” Yendamuri is a thoracic surgeon at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, where he serves as chief strategy officer, chair of thoracic surgery, and director of the Thoracic Surgery Laboratory. He earned his medical degree at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, completed surgical training that included MD Anderson Cancer Center, and also holds an executive MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. His work also includes an academic appointment at the University at Buffalo and a research program focused on lung cancer interception that has been continuously funded by the NCI for more than a decade; in 2025, he was elected to the American Surgical Association.
