Biography
Christian Wightman, MD, is a board-certified family physician and medical director of Student Health and Counseling at SUNY Geneseo. He earned his MD from Upstate Medical University College of Medicine after studying biochemistry at Binghamton University, and completed his family medicine residency at Highland Hospital through the University of Rochester program.
Before joining Geneseo in 2023, Wightman practiced primary care in Nunda for more than a decade and served for six years as medical director of Tri-County Family Medicine. SUNY Geneseo has also noted that he serves as medical director of Livingston County Hospice, reflecting a practice that spans both community-based family medicine and end-of-life care.
