Biography
Dr. Marcis Sodums is an interventional cardiologist with the Cayuga Heart Institute in Ithaca. An honors graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, he completed internal medicine training at UC San Diego and cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, including NIH-funded research. Before coming to Cayuga, he directed the cardiac catheterization laboratories at Stony Brook and later served at Guthrie as chief of cardiology and senior interventionalist; he has also published cardiology research, including a JAMA review on heart failure therapy.
