Biography
Rishi Balkissoon, MD, MPH is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with UR Medicine in Rochester and an associate professor of orthopaedics at the University of Rochester. He trained at Howard University College of Medicine, completed his orthopaedic residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and went on to fellowship training in adult reconstructive orthopaedic surgery at Rush University Medical Center. In addition to his clinical work in hip and knee reconstruction, he serves as Diversity Officer for the Office of Medical Student Inclusion & Enrichment Programs and has contributed to peer-reviewed arthroplasty literature, including a JBJS Review on same-day outpatient joint replacement.
