Biography
Sajal Akkipeddi, MD, is a PGY-1 neurosurgery resident at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He earned his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where his research focused on acute ischemic stroke, including a Rusyniak Fellowship research year studying the stroke thrombus proteome and its relationship to therapy and outcomes. He previously studied biology at Swarthmore College, where he co-authored work on long noncoding RNAs in the nucleus, and was elected to both Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society during medical school.
