Dr. Nicholas Hoffman is a Buffalo-based hospitalist with Buffalo Medical Group, affiliated with Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and also connected to Buffalo General Medical Center through his group practice. He earned his D.O. from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences after pre-medical study at the University at Buffalo, and he has said his path into medicine began after serving as a corpsman in the U.S. Navy Reserve. A distinguishing part of his background is an interest in hospital-based quality improvement, including research on whether rapid-response activations cluster around staff shift changes.
