Christopher Schaeffer, MD

Christopher Schaeffer, MD is a Buffalo internist and medical educator who serves as program director for the University at Buffalo/ECMC Internal Medicine Residency Program. According to ECMC, he leads the hospital’s internal medicine residency training; official ECMC credentialing materials note that he earned his MD from UB’s Jacobs School of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester, is board certified in internal medicine, and previously served as interim medical director of the ECMC Medicine Clinic. As a medical student at UB, he also received the James Platt White Society Award for leadership.
