Biography
Evis Petrela, MD, is a Syracuse ophthalmologist and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at SUNY Upstate. She completed ophthalmology residency at SUNY Upstate after an internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and earned her medical degree from the School of Medicine “Mother Teresa” in Tirana, Albania. Her practice background includes board certification and clinical focus in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and glaucoma; she has also co-authored a Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology report on stereotactic radiosurgery for presumed fourth cranial nerve schwannoma.
