Biography
Dr. Christine Coward is an associate professor of ophthalmology at the University of Rochester’s Flaum Eye Institute, where she practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a particular interest in cataract surgery, including cataracts in the setting of glaucoma. She earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate, completed ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College, and went on to a glaucoma fellowship with Southern California Glaucoma Consultants. At UR Medicine, she also serves as medical director of the South Clinton Avenue Flaum Eye Institute location and is part of the department’s residency faculty, reflecting a role in both patient care and physician education.
