Biography
Arthur F. Weissman, MD, is a Buffalo physician in addiction medicine who serves as a clinical assistant professor at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and as program director of the University at Buffalo’s Addiction Medicine Fellowship. He earned his MD at SUNY Buffalo in 1986 and completed a surgery residency there in 1991 before building his career in addiction care and medical education. A distinguishing part of his background is his authorship of addiction-medicine textbook chapters on screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment, and he was also recognized with a UB Siegel Award for volunteer teaching.
