Biography
Scott M. Tripler, M.D. is a Rochester family physician and part-time associate professor in the University of Rochester’s Department of Family Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1985, completed a transitional internship at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, and finished his family medicine residency at the University of Rochester/Highland Hospital in 1990.
Before joining the University of Rochester faculty in 2000, Tripler practiced for about a decade in the Palmyra/Macedon area and also worked in occupational medicine and care for people with developmental disabilities. His academic work has included helping start the Rochester Office-Based Research Network and contributing to medical student education, with interests in evidence-based medicine, medication use, and patient safety.
