Biography
Rachel Farkas, MD, FACS, is a board-certified breast surgeon in Pittsford whose work focuses on breast cancer surgery. She earned her medical degree from New York Medical College and is affiliated with Unity Hospital. Earlier in her career, she completed both her surgery residency and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she served as chief surgical resident from 2010 to 2011, later joined the surgery faculty, and studied photoacoustic breast imaging as a potential radiation-free way to improve breast tumor detection.
