Biography
Marsha N. Wittink, MD, MBE is a Rochester physician whose work centers on the intersection of medical and psychiatric care. At the University of Rochester Medical Center, she is a professor of psychiatry and family medicine and provides care through Medicine in Psychiatry Services, an integrated model designed for patients whose physical and mental health needs overlap. She also serves as academic chief of the Division of Medicine in Psychiatry.
Her clinical and research work focuses on improving care for people with complex medical, psychiatric, and social needs. Through the Laboratory of Integration Services for Complex Needs, she studies how patient priorities can be better incorporated into care planning and service design. Dr. Wittink earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, completed family medicine training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and later completed fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania, including geriatric psychiatry.
