Biography
Dr. Peter F. Kowalski is a family physician in Williamsville, New York, practicing at UBMD Primary Care of Amherst and serving as a clinical assistant professor of family medicine at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. His work centers on comprehensive primary care, including preventive, urgent, and inpatient family medicine. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at UB.
Kowalski has also had a longstanding role in medical education and community service. Alongside teaching medical students and residents, he has been involved with the Lighthouse Free Medical Clinic and UB HEALS street outreach. In 2022, UB recognized him with the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, an honor awarded to a faculty member seen as exemplifying compassionate, patient-centered care.
